The Grand Palais in Paris is plastered with popping luminous glass for an art installation entitled Excentrique by Daniel Buren.
The annual Monumenta exhibition allows artisans and creative craftsmanship to explore their talents. Every year the French Ministry of Culture and Communication invites a contemporary artist to design an art installation that relates to the architectural space of Paris' Grand Palais.
This temporary installation by French Artist Buren illuminates the open space of the Grand Palais. His work takes form of the building's glass ceiling and it's visible through his colorful glass structures. The transparent glass is canvased with primary colors, giving the glass dome exhibition hall extra flare. The colorful glass sculptures are illuminated by the natural light, which creates colored circles on the ground.
