Land Rover recently staged a series of installations that projected images of the sun to promote its new Evoque convertible. The first ever model of the car was revealed at the Central Saint Martins building in Granary Square in London.
20 projectors were needed to produce the lifelike sun, covering the size of ten tennis courts. The amount of light project was equivalent to 40,000 candles. The reveal also incorporated Granary Square's water feature, which saw Land Rover install 1,080 fountain jets and 4,320 individual low energy LEDs. The elaborate event also marked a partnership between Land Rover and the Born Summit of Creativity, a crowdfunding business that celebrates creative talent. The dramatic unveiling of the Evoque convertible was a complex process involving a team of creatives from Born whose creative input was utilized on the project.
