EVgo Roaming will now give drivers of electric cars far more access to charging stations. The company recently came to agreements with ChargePoint as well as EV Connect, with the new deal allowing customers of one network 'roam' to access other charging stations. The EVgo Roaming program will expand access more than 450 fast charging stations, this is in addition to its existing network of over 750 stations and 9,000 level 2 stations.
This deal means that users can go to multiple charging stations while only using one account -- which will drastically increase the convenience of refueling electric cars. This will make refueling for electric cars more similar to the conventional gas station experience that drivers are used to, which could lead to more adoption of the technology.
