Volkswagen created an EV charging system before the release of its ID.3 electric car. The EV home charging system is named the Wallbox which will be available in eight different European countries. Consumers can also choose from there versions of the Wallbox, one of which is standard and the others are premium, that range in price from $448-953.
All of the charging systems will have a max capacity of 22 kilowatts, as well as mounted Type 2 charging cables and DC residual current protection. The standard charging system is currently available, while the two premium versions will be released before the end of the year.
Volkswagen’s ID.3 will be exclusive to European markets, and it will be available to consumer beginning on June 17th.
