Euston Station in London will soon bring a futuristic new plan to life. In recent years, the population of the city as well as surrounding areas have dramatically increased. Although Euston Station is a historic site, its current state is not equipped to handle growth of commuters.
A extended hub will create a home for the HS2 high speed railway planned to travel between London and the Midlands. This expanded section will have its own entrance and will be covered by a petal-shaped roof to include restaurants, stores and cafes.
The new large station is planned to house 11 new platforms, with enough room for additional ticket halls. Underground transit will also be easier to access. Euston Station's remodeling follows in the footsteps of the city's major redevelopment of its transit system.
