The European Space Agency works in collaboration with LEGO on a special project where it creates LEGO bricks using meteorite dust. The team at ESA created a similar space brick replicating the familiar toy and it is a material found on the moon which can be used for construction purposes.
There are layers of rock and fragments of minerals on the moon dubbed lunar regolith. With this as inspiration, the team created a mixture that was 3D printed in the style of LEGO bricks. Since it is made from meteorite, it comes in a space grey tone and notably, some of the space bricks will be displayed at selected LEGO store locations so that it can be played with.
