Layered on top of each other, the etchings become line drawings that seem to be floating within their glass cages, as though they have become 3D designs. This effect is a cool way of combining scientific inquiry into the body and brain with experimental art and illustration. The dimensional images are comparable to topography maps with lines delineating depth and shading areas with their wire-like appearance for a crosshatched texture.
