The 'Livewire One' Eschews Harley-Davidson Branding For Its Own

Harley-Davidson is perhaps the most iconic and legacy motorcycle company the world has ever seen, but the company is not content to sit on its existing laurels and is moving bravely forward into the future with the introduction of a brand new electric motorbike, the Livewire One.

While Harley-Davidson has introduced concept and production e-bike models of the Livewire before, what's great about the Livewire One is that its the first electric motorbike from Harley-Davidson to claim its own branding rather than just riding on Harley's coattails.

As far as specs concerned, this electric motorbike will be fitted with a 15.5-kWh battery and a 78-kW motor that will churn out 105 horsepower, enabling the Livewire One to sprint from zero to 98 km/h in three seconds on its way to a top speed of 177 km/h.

Ultimately, the Livewire One speaks to the increasing importance of electric two-wheeler markets, with Harley-Davidson clearly keen to embrace the future of eco-friendly motoring.
