The ENSEMBLE Phone may look like it was inspired by men's electric razors by the looks of its sleek and modern aesthetic, yet it was actually inspired by something more organic and natural: sensations. Its futuristic metal skin protects its vegetal core that dispatches a 'digital sap,' as the designer puts it.
Conceived by France-based designer Jerome Olivet, the ENSEMBLE Phone encourages an intimacy between the device and its user. The ENSEMBLE Phone features voice-control technology, information is displayed on a micro touchscreen and its ergonomic shape encourages a unique tactile experience as well.
Crafted out of plastic, the ENSEMBLE Phone "is not an inert object placed on your cheek, but a succession of colored skins, sensitive materials that open to spread the messages," according to Olivet.
