Simply Outlined Stem Holders

These Empty Vases Suggest Form but Incorporate No Enclosures

The designer of these delightful Empty Vases did an exquisite job of sculpting lovely silhouettes for them; however, she did not complete them with the closed walls that their outlines appear to suggest. Becoming optical illusions, the open vessels are merely formed by rings at the upper rim and base, plus a pair of curved lines that that link them and trace the impression of volume.

The four bouquet holders in the collection take unique shapes, yet the all have the above composition in common. They've been carefully made from ceramic material into amphorae of various sizes and glazed colors. Without creating complete enclosures, the Empty vases are incapable of containing water. The charming objects do, however, prove to be perfect stands for dried flowers.
