Social virtual reality company Emerge has announced the launch of the Emerge Home system, a first-of-its-kind product that allows users to experience immersive "bare hands" tactility in the Metaverse.
The new system consists of three primary components: the Emerge Wave-1 device, the Emerge Home social virtual experience, and the Emerge Home mobile app. However, the standout technological innovation comes from Emerge Wave-1 device, a tabletop top unit that emits ultrasonic waves that enable users to feel and interact through touch in their virtual worlds. The 13" device casts a mid-air field that allows for interaction up to three feet above it and 120 degrees around it, without the need for wearables or additional pieces.
"Emerge Home’s goal is to take people beyond the screen and allow them to connect emotionally in a natural way, no matter the distance between them," said Sly Lee, Co-CEO and Co-founder of Emerge.
