Urwerk and Dreamland Join Forces on the Limited EMC SR-71

Urwerk works together with aerospace and lifestyle imprint Dreamland to design the specially limited EMC SR-71 timepiece. This celebrates Urwerk's 10th anniversary and there will only be 10 exclusive pieces that are made, using fuselage pieces from the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird aircraft. It celebrates the mechanical precision and intricate structure that is meant to allow the wearer to adjust the mechanical offset over time.

The idea came into fruition when Dreamland had access to the aircraft's titanium alloy parts. The limited range of the timepiece features an intricate process in which the composite of materials is melted down to create the folding crank handle of the watch's generator. It melts down aluminum, vanadium, silicon, iron, and molybdenum metals.
