Israeli start-up DigiGage developed an elevator display technology that takes the mundane experience of riding an elevator and elevates it to a memorable and interactive digital infotainment experience.
The display is sensitive to the elevator's real-time movements in such a way that content featured on the display scrolls up as the elevator descends and vice-versa. This creates the illusion of a window that seems to look out onto another dimension.
The content displayed can range from real-world environments such as under the sea, abstract digital landscapes or real-time news, information and messages.
The technology is compatible with most elevators and is not linked to the elevator control system in anyway, so it doesn't compromise safety. DigiGage has already rolled out its elevator display technology in Israel, the US, China, Greece and Italy.
