John Deere took advantage of the recently held CES 2023 in Las Vegas to go about lifting the curtains off a high-tech electric excavator that is designed to be used in a variety of construction-related sites and settings.
This electric excavator is fitted with a Kreisel battery made by Kreisel Electric, a company in which John Deere acquired a majority stake. Kreisel's battery is elevated by proprietary immersion cooling architectire that works to boost safety, improve performance and offer reliable operation for a long period of time.
What's more, the charging technology enables quicker and more inexpensive use of the electrical grid, while the excavator itself is said to produce no emissions.
"Everything we do at John Deere is focused on real purpose and real impact," said Jahmy Hindman, chief technology officer at John Deere, during the unveiling of the excavator. "This means we’re developing technology that enables our customers to provide the food, fuel, fiber and infrastructure that our growing global population needs."
