Electric Entertainment, an L.A.-based production and distribution company, has officially launched its own over-the-top streaming service (OTT) called 'ElectricNow.' The app, which offers customers an alternative to the omnipresent Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, will be made available for free on all Vizio Smartcast televisions.
The new streaming service will include all of Electric Entertainment's most popular content including the TV series 'The Librarians,' 'Leverage,' and 'The Outpost.' In addition, viewers can expect to see of all of the company's major feature films on the app such as 'Heavy' starring Sophie Turner and Daniel Zovatto, and 'Blood on the Crown' starring Harvey Keitel and Malcolm McDowell.
"With the addition of ElectricNow to SmartCast, we are continuing Vizio’s mission to provide our audiences with endless entertainment," said Chris Tanquary, the Director of Business Development at Vizio.
