Swagtron has revealed the company's first electric city bike, called the EB12. The company will sell its electric city bike for a $999.99 price point.
The EB12 features a 270Wh battery which is located on the rear rack of the bike. Additionally, the rear wheel has a 250-watt motor. The motor and the battery combine to provide a range of 28 miles. The EB12 bike has a top speed of 16 mph and features a 7-speed gear shift. However, the bike can exceed its top speed when in pedal-assist mode.
The bike has 700cc wheels and weighs in at 39.4 pounds, which makes it one of the more lightweight electric bikes.
The EB12 has what is called a satin black paint job and a flat bar design, giving it a simple aesthetic.
