Scientists at Tokyo University have invented a jelly-like substance that consists of 95% water. Dubbed as 'elastic water,' the creation is considered to be useful in medicine for mending tissue.
Elastic water is obtained by adding two grams of clay and a small quantity of organic material into plain water. Scientists will still study the substance through September 2010. If the team is successful in increasing elastic water's density then they can produce eco-friendly plastic materials, among other things.
