David Krawczyk literally had to become an inventor to devise the Edison Alarm Clock. Conceived to keep time by means of electrical currents, the antique-inspired contraption looks like it's come straight from the 19th century.
The industrial designer's quirky chronograph is genius, even by contemporary standards. The two large half globes present the time, while two smaller light bulbs must be placed in the bottom to set the alert. Using little holes that represent the hour and the minute, the Edison Alarm Clock is an electrical wonder that works once you've completed its circuit.
