KFC India is entering into the world of eco-friendly packaging with their new edible bowl. The Indian version of the fried chicken fast food chain are currently testing serving bowls that are a dish you can eat in its entirely.
Made out of tortilla, the containers are being used to serve Rice Bowlz (menu items that are only available in India). KFC India offers three kinds of Rice Bowlz -- vegetarian, popcorn chicken and the Fiery Grilled Rice Bowlz. The edible bowl is first being tested in two restaurants in Bengaluru for a week. If that goes well, they will be extending the bowls to the rest of the country.
The tortilla bowls will be made fresh in stores as well.
