Sol and Medicine Line Renewables Team Up for an Ecological Initiative

The latest ecological initiative in Canada is run by Sol and Medicine Line Renewables LTD. Dubbed '1 Million Bottles Sol'd for Solar,' the project sets out to turn a sun-bathed area in Alberta, Canada into a functional energy source. The location in question is the Milk River in the south part of the province. Since the land is exposed to more than 2,300 hours of sun per year, the installation of a solar field as part of the ecological initiative seems like a good fit. The estimation is that the Milk River project will produce enough to power 1,060 Canadian homes and offset 4,900 tons of carbon each year.

As part of this ecological initative, Sol will donate 10 cents per bottle consumed at participating bars and restaurants across Canada.
