Instead of just making the shelves for the event and then disposing of them, the goal was to have them transportable to be used afterwards.
As such the shelves are designed with a laddered effect that can be contracted or expanded. The piece basically folds in half once everything has been removed from the shelving section, making it easy to move from one place to the next.
