Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week has kicked off at Bebelplatz, showcasing some incredibly wild fashion for the new season.
The gallery shows the eccentric collection by Basso & Brooke, which could be described well as traveling circus meets cabaret. It included graphic designed tights paired with puffy white anklets resembling Elizabethan ruffs. Waists were cinched and shoulders were big and puffy. Hairstyles were huge and fantastically teased, making their heads resemble Marge Simpson's bouffant. Some ratty updoes were tamed with big, broad hats, one even topped with a giant, grey felted bauble that resembled a stone. Others accentuated their mains with colourful, clown-like bows.
The line is designed by a 25-year-old English fashion graduate, Christopher Brooke, and further invigorated with vibrancy by 29-year-old Brazilian Graphic Designer, Bruno Basso.
