Dyskograf Lets You Draw on Your Own Rhythm on Vinyl to be Played

Dyskograf takes the idea behind music making software programs and turns it into a highly advanced creative exploration.

People are able to draw on the vinyl disks with a felt tip pen, scribbling or coloring in the little boxes on the white design to discover the composers locked away inside of them. The scribbles on the disk are detected by a camera on the turntable that is able to read the drawing and turn it into a sequence of beats. The more you add, the more depth your beat will have, creating a series a notes that you might even be able to bust a move to.

Dyskograf harmonically blends software generated music products with the act of jotting musical notes out on paper.
