The Dwarven Beard Helmet Pays Tribute to the Hobbit

You can't truly call yourself a fan of the Lord of the Rings films until you knit a dwarven beard helmet. This original creation was made by deviantART member SadDaysCrochet. The helmet was designed to look like the helmet Gimli wore during the original trilogy, but the beard is an entirely original creation.

The best part about the dwarven beard helmet is that the facial hair can be detached. Walking around with a burly dwarf beard is awesome and all, but it's bound to get itchy and sweaty after awhile. It doesn't seem as if SadDaysCrochet is planning on selling the dwarven beard helmet -- she made it as a gift for her brother -- but there's no doubt that it would be a huge hit if she did.
