Located at Nice Airport, this futuristic duty free concept points to the progression of retail to include multi-sensory elements aimed at making a lasting impression. In addition to carrying both local and international brands, the duty free shop boasts a Riviera-themed bar, a champagne chandelier that offers light shows, robot demos, an interactive whisky club and an express manicure bar. The fully stocked shop also has pre-order service on their e-commerce site, while all attendants have their own iPad.
Designed by Lagardère Travel Retail, the duty free shop is brightly lit and directs travelers with several guiding principles, the first of which is 'The Art of the Gift,' which includes a gift bar and wrapping service. The second principle is 'Facilitation,' which seeks to create a shopping experience that is at once "seamless and unforgettable." Finally, the third principle is 'Care,' which aims to make each shopping experience as pleasant as possible for the customer.
