Rather than having a workplace that sits atop its own parking garage, the Drukta & Formail office has been embedded within its cavernous concrete warehouse. The Belgian client asked the creative team at fiveAM to give them something unique, and this request was undoubtedly delivered.
The large industrial structure was sectioned off into smaller rooms for reception, meetings and private work by means of recycled shipping containers. The long rectangular enclosures have been stacked and adapted with coats of paint, the installation of lighting and climate control and the insertion of broad doors and windows. Plywood interior cladding brings a bit of warmth to the industrial spaces.
Quite cleverly, access into the Drukta & Formail office is through the underground depot or through the garage doors at street level.
