Food delivery company DoorDash has announced the launch of an all-new feature called 'Drinks with DoubleDash.'
The new feature allows users to order food from one vendor and then order drinks from another, but do so in single order placement. What's more, the feature does not add any additional delivery fees. For example, a DooDash user could now select a meal from their favorite restaurant, then scroll to the bottom of their menu and begin shopping alcohol options from nearby liquor or grocery store.
"As we continue on our mission to be the one-stop shop for all local commerce needs, we’re excited by the endless possibilities with DoubleDash to connect customers to new categories in a seamless way while providing incremental growth opportunities for our local convenience, grocery, and liquor store merchants," said Ben Damon a product manager at DoorDash.
