Emergentes Architectures Sàrl Designed the Dreal House in Chile

Swiss architecture firm Emergentes Architectures Sàrl has completed the design of the Dreal House, which is a linear beach home defined by its angular concrete columns and wooden cladding nestled on the coast of Chile. The house has a trapezoidal structure and it is created for shelter and privacy from neighbors on all three sides while remaining open entirely on the side of the Pacific Ocean.

The diagonal reinforced concrete pillars are "the house's identifying expression and at the same time the one that organizes it spatially." The team explains how the construction process took place, stating "The sliding doors and movable panels allow us to configure the space according to the needs and activities, creating flexible and modular spaces, allowing simultaneous activities within the house, but with their own independence."
