The internet is everywhere- literally. Internet on the fridge? yawn. In the car? passe. Try internet on your petrol pump bowser. Apparently there is a gasoline pump manufacturer called Dresser Wayne that is showcasing their new web enabled wi fi pump- you can download music while you're filling up your car.
"The Dresser Wayne Ovation iX fuel dispenser features a Wi-Fi connection with the ability to transfer content other Wi-Fi enabled devices. At this week's CES show, they'll be demonstrating an integration to send tracks between the pump and a Microsoft Windows CE enabled Alpine radio installed in a vehicle. The pump can also communicate with mobile phones via a Bluetooth interface." (www.technobob.com)
Wow. I'm not allowed to use my mobile phone at a petrol station in case it causes an explosion, but I can download Daddy Yankee's Gasolina to my DAP. Niiice. That'd make me choose Shell over BP for sure.
