Double Impact is a new online game where the points you earn can be converted into money for charities. Double Impact works through Facebook, tracking your check-ins and converting them into points.
Not all check-ins are worth points though. Only those that are eco-friendly such as taking public transportation or buying from a local farmers market will earn you 'Impact Points.' There are many other ways to earn Impact Points, including through purchases and through taking quizzes. My favorite method of earning points happens when you let the game monitor your monthly electric bill. The lower your bill at the end of the month, the more points you earn!
At the end of the month, the points you earned are converted into cash that can donated to a charity of your choosing. Companies such as PG&E and the WWF are fronting the money, with more brands and companies slated to get on board.
