Architects Juan Alberto Andrade and Maria Jose Vascones transformed an old Chevy into the Dodo Van for an Ecuadorian couple. The architects created a house-on-wheels out of the outdated 1990s van to accommodate the couple's lifestyle. The impressive transformation includes a kitchenette, a gold-up dining table, and a full-sized mattress.
The Dodo Van is designed for a simple living environment and spans a five square meter space under a 1.86-meter ceiling. The designer explains that "the area conditions the space - developing a project that is flexible enough to adapt to different everyday situations and solving the basic needs of living." To create a sense of openness, the space is designed in light-colored wood with multifunctional spaces and fixtures.
