Those who dream of owning a Lambo are going to want to check out this DIY Lamborghini Reventon. This awesome copycat was built by a 28-year-old Chinese man by the name of Wang Jian. Jian used sheet metal, the engine from a Nissan van and the chassis from a Volkswagen to build his Lambo. The car is used primarily to transport fertilizer to and from the family farm as authorities believe that it would be hazardous if driven on heavily trafficked roads.
Despite cutting corners, Jian still spent $10,000 building his DIY Lamborghini Reventon. That may sound like a lot to spend on a knockoff, but it's a lot less than the $1.6 million he would have spent if he had purchased the actual supercar. China is a hotbed for automotive DIYers. The increased attention the country has received from luxury car companies has led to a boom in self-built supercars and ultra-luxury sedans. Needless to say, this won't be the last DIY to come out of China.
