Google Assistant Will Be Newly Compatible with Dish Receivers

Dish receivers will now be able to use Google Assistant functions on Dish customers' televisions. The new Google assistant compatibility will come to Dish receivers through an update for Hopper. This update will allow users to activate voice commands to access a number of features. These include weather updates, smart home controls, and the ability to control the Hopper interface. The update will be compatible with all versions of Hopper and it will also work with Joey and Wally models.

Accessing Google Assistant features requires customers to own a Dish voice remote and Google branding will now be included on future models of Dish remotes.

Integration with Google Assistant will bring new capabilities to the platform and will provide a more streamlined experience to the Dish customer base.
