This dish drainer doubles as a plant watering device and is a good example of Erdem Selek’s belief that sustainable design is an outcome of the search for efficiency.
Place wet dishes on the rack to dry and the drips fall into the plant or into the water reservoir tray so the plants can drink. The design will hold dishes and utensils from two place settings.
Originally from Denizli, Turkey, Erdem Selek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Master of Science degree in Product Design and currently lectures on industrial design principles at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand.
