Ponder is a video discovery app where users up or down-vote posts with a simple swipe.
Described as "if Snapchat Stories and Tinder had a baby," the Ponder app allows users to post text, photos and video, anonymously or through their own account. Users can browse through posted content on three levels: friends' content, local content and global content. On each text post, picture or clip they view, users swipe up to express appreciation for the item or down to indicate a 'pass.' Posts appear higher or lower in the overall stream of content based on how many times they are swiped up. This way, posts with a lot of popularity -- based on the individual post, and not the poster -- are rewarded with more views.
