Dual-Beam Bike Lights

The Ding Light Keeps Cyclists Visible at Night

The Ding light is a bicycle light that is designed to make cyclists visible not just from the back and front but also the sides. This light is attached to the underside of the handlebars via a silicone strap. The light can be removed by quickly detaching it from its built-in container, rather than having to take it off its strap every single time.

The light is designed by Australian innovators, and is the subject of a Kickstarter campaign. A pledge of around $73 will get you one if and when the product meets its fundraising target.

As anyone who has ever cycled at night will attest, it's extremely important to be visible not just from the front and back but also from that sides. While existing bicycle lighting systems address this by adding dedicated side lights or diverting regular light, this particular headlight puts out a forward-shining light along with a second one that lights up the road directly to either side of the bicycle.
