Models are usually enlisted to draw more attention to the annual Detroit Auto Show but this year's big event saw more than a few gorgeous faces next to luxury vehicles. For the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, a selection of models was dressed in chic all black gowns made of car interior material.
Auto supplier Inteva Products LLC commissioned fashion designer Janna Coumoundouros to produce four gowns made out of the same thermoplastic material found within a number of General Motors vehicles. The result was conceptual and fashion-forward, drawing in crowds of both clothing and car fans.
Though these dresses are made of automotive material, the gowns exuded an elegant air and showcased the versatility of thermoplastics.
