Design by Reborn is a conceptual art studio that is based out of Saigon. Its latest project takes inspiration from Vietnamese window grills. The silhouettes are hand-made, with their construction depending on magnetic wooden blocks. The studio has silk-screened unique motifs that recall the aesthetics of some of the colorful window grills in Saigon. This architectural motif is characteristic for older buildings and thus, through this project that is titled 'Rise of the Vietnamese Robots,' Design by Reborn also pays homage to the historic significance of local buildings.
The design-forward figurines range in price between $150 USD and $1,800 USD, making these chromatic collectibles rather accessible to a bigger audience.
