Spinneybeck Translates the Design 406 by Erwin Hauer

Erwin Hauer is a talented sculptor from Austria and he has devoted much of his work to the art of symmetry including the Design 406 panel series. Hauer is a progressive name when it comes to his work in Modular Constructivism, which is a movement that is defined by repeating surfaces that are formed from constructed modules that usually have an organic form.

Spinneybeck now translates the Design 406 into a modern and classic wall panel system. Spinneyback worked with FilzFelt in 2020 to bring life back to the same design and back then it was in the form of hanging panels. This time around, the studio has created carved wall panels using natural materials and come in five wood species.
