Y/Project introduces the new Denim Ankle Boots for the Fall/Winter 2020 season. The footwear design delivers vintage aesthetics to welcome the colder temperatures. It also boasts a mottled brown effect that is seen throughout the entire model, similar to an acid-wash.
It replicates what happens to a real pair of jeans as there is a Jacron found at the heel area. Jacrons are the celluose paper that is found at the back of a pair of denim, which is practiced by brands such as Levi's. To celebrate this tradition, Glenn Martens at the brand adds intricate artwork on the Jacron with additional information in traditional red. These read "Denim," "Paris' Best," and "Dry Cleaning Is Always Better." Rounding out the shoe is a zipper enclosure on the medial side.
