Trend Hunter's resident beauty, Bianca, gave us a glimpse into Dell's much anticipated take on the Asus Eee, but now we have the full dirt on that sexy little notebook that could. Forget about the Dell Inspiron Mini codename, according to an insider tip to Engadget, we can now welcome the 8.9-inch Dell E and the 12.1-inch Dell E Slim.
At 0.8-inches thin, the Dell E Slim looks like a credible ultra thin competitor with a direct aim at MacBook Air and Lenovo's X300.
The Dell E will come in three distinct flavors: E Classic, E Video, and E Video+. The E Classic model is designed for low-end users with only the basics, at a low cost of $299. E Video and E Video+ models will feature higher specs such as more RAM, larger flash storage, webcams and Bluetooth in the + model, targeting users who demand a richer media experience.
The E is set to be out in August while the E Slim targets a September release date.
The MacBook Air seems to have opened the flood gates on thin notebook designs, check out the recently announced Envy 133:
