It's tough to imagine what it would be like to live with a degenerative eye disease such as glaucoma or cataracts, but a new app by the Braille Institute called VisionSim gives users the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of the visually impaired.
VisionSim allows users to pick a degenerative eye diseases from a list, and using the built-in camera displays images as they appear to someone with that disease. According to the Braille Institute, the app was created to "foster understanding and compassion for the millions of people affected by these eye conditions."
The VisionSim app is available for the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
