Facial Thread Spreads

The Dazed and Confused Embroidery Series is "Sew" Surreal

I've never seen anything quite like this amazing Dazed and Confused embroidery spread dubbed "It Came From The Sky."

Creative graphic artists Richard Burbridge, Robbie Spencer and Maurizio Anzeri were commissioned to complete this immensely imaginative spread. They sought to create images that would be remarkable and memorable -- and it's safe to say that they succeed.

The artists began by taking a series of portraits of several different subjects, encouraging them to be expressive and to make unusual poses. These images were captured in black and white, which makes the embroidery stand out. The images were then embroidered with colored threads; patterns and features were stitched into the faces. This mixed-medium imagery is much more effective than plain portraits, encouraging viewers to think outside of the box.

This Dazed and Confused embroidery spread is "surreally" phenomenal.
