Uchronia Creates the Day Bed Installation in Paris

French design studio Uchronia has presented the Day Bed installation for this year's Paris Design Week. It takes over the front court of the Hôtel de la Marine as it boasts a bed that honors the traditional 18th-century interiors of the hotel. It celebrates the hotel's Indenants' Apartments, which was owned by the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne. The bed is nearly full of ceramic tiles by Palet with bright colors and gradient hues.

Designer at Uchronia, Clémentine Bricard shares with Dezeen, "Each apartment showcases sumptuous beds adorned with intricate details and vibrant drapes, all contributing to a truly captivating atmosphere. Every element, down to the smallest detail, sparked our imagination. We wanted to give a contemporary approach to the bed, so ceramic tiles were an obvious choice for the project."
