Tea-Holding Wooden Chairs

David Ericsson Honored His Wife with a Design That Complements Her Hobby

Swedish furniture designer David Ericsson created a piece that was modeled around his wife's enjoyment of drinking tea while reading in a comfortable seat.

The resulting chair was dubbed 'Hedwig' -- a humorous title that pays tribute the name his wife desired to be referred to when she was a child. The piece features a simplistic exposed beach wood design that includes two cup holders on its armrests, allowing her to comfortably set her tea down as she cozies up to read a book.

David Ericsson offers two different variations of the chairs, one that utilizes a tanned vegetable leather and another that sports a natural canvas. The leather version is offered in a number of different colors, with brown, natural and black all available.
