Futuristic 1940s Editorials

The i-D Magazine Damaris Goddrie Photoshoot Merges Old with New

The i-D Magazine Summer 2015 editorial featuring model Damaris Goddrie introduced an old-meets-new approach to fashion. Photographer Alasdair McLellan captured the scene that focused primarily on a black and white color scheme.

Goddrie did an exceptional job of pairing different decades with an off-the-shoulder bustier, a tight pencil skirt and a structured, layered top. While these items channeled decades past, she also exhibited a fresh, futuristic appeal with a selection of chunky dangling earrings.

McLellan also zeroed in on Goddrie's tousled hairstyle. Loosely done down waves and thick bangs brought this production over the top, proving that bold is certainly the way to go this season. This was further driven home with a rich red lip tone.
