Daiso Opened its Very First Canadian Location in Vancouver

Japanese variety retailer Daiso opened its first corporate Canadian location in downtown Vancouver. Daiso's downtown Vancouver location will be used to test the Canadian market, before the Japanese variety retailer expands nationwide. In 2003, the Japanese variety retailer franchised a Daiso store in Vancouver's Richmond suburb, but was converted to an Oomono in 2019.

Daiso's downtown Vancouver location will occupy a 4,700 square foot space. In Daiso's downtown Vancouver location, a variety of everyday products like cosmetics, home goods, and stationery will be sold. Some traditional Japanese items, such as origami paper will also be sold at Daiso's downtown Vancouver store.

Most of the products at Daiso's downtown Vancouver store are imported from Japan. Some of the store's high-quality product assortment will be bought from Canada or the US.
