This MeaTech 3.67-Ounce Cultivated Steak is 3D-Bioprinted

Cultivated and lab-grown meats are on the forefront of the alternative meat industry, which is evident with the news of this MeaTech 3.67-ounce cultivated steak from the company that is reported to be the largest ever created. The steak is comprised of cells that were produced using the brand's in-house 3D bioprinter and sourced from cow stem cells in tissue samples. The meat was then placed inside an incubator to mature into fat and muscle for an authentic profile that contains no soy or pea protein.

CEO and CTO Sharon Fima spoke on the MeaTech 3.67-ounce cultivated steak saying, "Today’s breakthrough is the culmination of over one year’s efforts in our cellular biology and high-throughput tissue engineering processes, as well as our precision bioprinting technology. By bioprinting a 3.67oz steak comprised of living tissue, we believe we have both validated our core technologies and placed ourselves at the forefront of the race to develop high-end, real cell-based cultivated premium meat products
