Crystal-Studded Carousels -- This Swarovski Crystal Carousel Was Designed by Jaime Hayon
Crystal Carousel
Wattens, Austria is now home to a crystal carousel that's sure to impress children and adults alike, as the traditionally Victorian fairground amusement ride has been revamped to feature Swarovski crystals.
The piece was created by a Spanish-based designer named Jaime Hayon. His creation can be found inside of the Swarovski Kristallwelten, which is a sculpture garden that serves as a popular tourist destination. The ride now features a dominantly black and white color palette which adds a touch of elegance. According to the designer, "a carousel can be seen a moving museum," and this rings true as each of the seats are gorgeous sculptures that rotate when the ride is turned on.
