In a collaboration of epic proportion artist Inge Jacobson and photographer Sebastian Faena have come together to create these cross-stitch fashion photos. This intricate cross-stitch series is the result of over 2,000 hours of intensive tedious cross-stitching labor by Mr. Jacobson.
The cross-stitching collection is a reinterpretation of Sebastian Faena's Fall/Winter 2011 fashion campaign. The attention to detail brings this artwork to life, and even gets some real-life infused into the collection as Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen steps in. This cross-stitched collection features both fully stitched and partial stitched pieces which have been brought to live in these photographs by the aforementioned Danish model.
The cross-stitched crusade of a collection really emphasizes the dedication and tediousness of art as it shines a new beacon of light on the art of cross-stitching. The collection not only further publicizes Faena's collection; it also highlights the lost art of cross-stitching and showcases the effectiveness of transition from life to imitation of life.Photo Credits: designboom, ingejacobsen
